Steamed NZ Greenshell Mussel with Sake and Butter

Ingredients

  • NZ Greenshell Mussels in half shell - 6 pieces
  • Sake (Japanese rice wine) - 100 ml
  • Salted Butter - 40 g
  • Fresh Garlic (finely chopped) - 1 clove
  • Whole lemon (cut into segments for squeezing)

Method

1. Place mussels, sake and garlic in a saucepan, cover and steam over a high heat for 5 minutes 

2. Remove from heat and add salted butter 

3. Serve with lemon (for squeezing)
