New Zealand Greenshell™ Mussels with Chilli Dressing

Ingredients

  • 500gms frozen ½ shell New Zealand Greenshell™ Mussels

Dressing

  • 45ml / 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 45gms / 3 tbsp sugar
  • 45ml / 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2gms / 1 tsp Korean chilli powder
  • 5gms / 1 tsp garlic, crushed
  • 5gms / 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 5 ml / 1 tsp sesame oil

Method

Take out quantity of mussels required from the pack and place in a steam pot with the meat side up. 

Steam briefly until warm (for the mussels to remain succulent & tender do not over steam, steam just enough to heat through). 

Place mussels on a large share platter and pour over the dressing. 

Method for Dressing

Blend all the ingredients for the dressing in a bowl, mixing them together thoroughly. 

New Zealand Greenshell™ Mussels are available in most seafood markets and leading supermarkets such as E-mart.
